Track wall sawing – why you need it…

Track wall sawing is a tried and tested method of sawing that the operators at National Drilling Services use on a daily basis on construction sites all around the UK. It is a reliable method of sawing used for a variety of reasons.  In this article, we look at why we select track wall sawing and its merits for creating cuts and cutting through a variety of materials.  Our reputation for drilling, cutting and sawing is well known in the UK construction industry, with clients using our services repeatedly on many of the sites where they are working.

Where should we use track wall sawing?

Track wall sawing is used, not just on vertical walls, as the name suggests, but also for horizontal surfaces and making angled cuts.  It can also be used for inverted cutting. The circumstances where our operators use track wall sawing are numerous, but some examples are listed below.  Track wall sawing is used for;

  • forming new doorways in an existing wall
  • creating window apertures
  • cutting out cavities for the introduction of a lift shaft
  • sawing through walls for the development of a new stairway
  • providing flush-cutting against walls for breaking lines
  • creating vent openings

Track wall sawing capabilities

At National Drilling Services we provide track wall sawing using our diamond blades. We keep a range of blade sizes in stock.  These can be used to cut to a depth of 800mm. The blades range in size from 450mm to 2000mm, which means we can meet the demands of all your track wall sawing needs. This method of sawing can be used in all kinds of materials including creating cuts in reinforced concrete and masonry structures.  Not only that, but the accuracy of using the track sawing method compared with other cutting processes such as stitch drilling or wire sawing is second to none. For accuracy and smooth cutting track wall sawing is a winning method.
