National Drilling Services, as our name suggests, is renowned across the UK for our concrete drilling services. Drilling through reinforced concrete is a task often required when renovating a building or as part of the construction process of a new project. At National Drilling Services we have a team of experienced, skilled and trained operators who can perform concrete drilling, whether tungsten concrete drilling or diamond core drilling. Depending on the reason for carrying out the concrete drilling will depend on which method of concrete drilling is employed. National Drilling Services has a wide range of drill bits and equipment to ensure we can create an appropriate sized incision according to your site plan requirements.
Concrete drilling using the tungsten concrete drilling method
Tungsten concrete drilling is used when dowel bars or resin fixings are required to be installed. When this method is used the edge of the hole is left with a roughness to it. The advantage of this rough edge is that it provides the perfect surface for resin to adhere, which is ideal for securing fixings.
Our tungsten concrete drilling equipment includes the latest in Hilti anti-vibration machines. This means that whilst operating them they are safer for our operatives to use, reducing the risk of repetitive strains, which are historically associated with the tungsten concrete drilling method. If you are concerned that we might not have the right sized drill bit to create the size of hole you need, you can rest assured that with drill bits ranging from 12mm to 50mm this won’t be an issue for concern.
Diamond core concrete drilling
If you are looking for a method of creating fast and accurate holes in your concrete structure, then diamond core drilling is probably the drilling solution you require. The team of operatives at National Drilling Services can use our diamond core drilling equipment to drill through reinforced concrete and other hard materials to an unlimited depth. As we keep stock of a wide selection of drilling sizes we are able to cut fast, accurate holes with a diameter ranging from 10mm to 1000mm. Apart from the speed and precision afforded by this method of concrete drilling, there is the advantage of there being only a minor noise disturbance and minimal debris created. This helps to speed up the process as less clearing is required due to dust or loose concrete pieces.
