Track wall sawing’s: At National Drilling Services our experienced operators use high powered saws and hydraulic machines for track wall sawing through concrete.
Concrete unexpectedly hit the headlines over the summer with concerns over the RAAC concrete used in schools and other educational establishments, which is now reaching its end of life. At National Drilling Services our track wall sawing’s equipment is usually used for cutting through reinforced concrete and solid masonry structures which are much harder materials than RAAC. Reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete (RAAC) was commonly used between the 1950s and 1990s as a lightweight, quick and cheaper alternative to reinforced concrete and in many cases buildings which were constructed using RAAC have already been upgraded, renovated or replaced.
Track wall sawing’s Track wall sawing for demolition separation applications
Our equipment and services for track wall sawing are often required to facilitate cutting openings or to provide separation sawing as part of demolition or renovation projects. Track wall sawing is a precise and accurate method of cutting through reinforced concrete. Using this technique we can saw through staircases as well as vent, door and window openings. Our operators also use track wall sawing to form angled cuts when required as well as many other applications.
What are the size restrictions?
At National Drilling Services we stock a wide range of diamond blades which are the most efficient and accurate blades for track wall sawing through tough materials like concrete. Our blade sizes range from 450mm to extremely large 2m diameter blades. We will select the most appropriate size blade to meet the sawing requirements on your site or project. Using these blades we can cut to a maximum depth of 800mm. Due to the high accuracy and the smooth finish created by these hard, sharp blades, they are ideal for flush cutting against walls and can actually be used horizontally as well as vertically and even for inverted cuts. For this reason we often use track wall sawing for lift shafts, doorways, window apertures, breaking lines and stairways.
